Tennis: West Hall boys shut out West Forsyth (3/20)

OAKWOOD - The West Hall boys tennis team dropped just one set in taking a 5-0 win over West Forsyth Thursday in a Region 7B-AAA match played at Bobby Bailey Tennis Center.

Chris Evans rallied to beat Austin Todd 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles while Luis Flores beat Christian Stanko 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Alan Clark whipped Evan Donahue 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

In doubles, Derek Weatherly and Jimmy Kincaid beat David Guzman and Matt English 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles and Kyle Weatherly and Ricky Vital beat Jamie Bone and Ben Holloway 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.

West Hall improved to 8-2, 6-2 in the subregion with the win. The Spartans next will travel Pickens County on Tuesday.
