Baseball: Wolverines rally past Chestatee (3/20)

CUMMING - West Forsyth pounded out 15 hits and took advantage of 10 walks from Chestatee pitchers to take a 13-6 win over the War eagles in Region 7-AAA baseball action.

Chestatee led early getting two runs in the top of the second and then took a 6-2 lead after a four-run third. But the Wolverines exploded in their half of the third innning scoring eight runs to lead 10-6.

West Forsyth added two runs in the fifth and one more in the sixth to put the game away.

Kevin Clifford took the loss for Chestatee.

Rafael Mendoza, Scott Chewning, and Justin Byers each had two hits for the War Eagles. Mendoza had two RBI and Chewning and Byers one each for Chestatee.
