Glass continues to rain down on Atlanta streets following tornado

ATLANTA - Several downtown Atlanta streets remain closed because heavy winds continue to rain glass from skyscrapers that were damaged by a tornado nearly a week ago.<br /> <br /> Police spokesman James Polite says the CNN Center, Westin Peachtree Plaza and Georgia-Pacific building are the focus of attention. <br /> <br /> Hundreds of windows in the three buildings were damaged or blown out by the tornado last Friday, and windy conditions in recent days have caused glass to fall to the streets below, in some cases two or three blocks away. <br /> <br /> Polite says architects and emergency officials are making sure the buildings are structurally sound. <br />
