Tennis: West Hall boys knock off AAAAA Forsyth Central (3/10)

CUMMING - West Hall swept the doubles matches and got two singles wins to take a 4-1 win over Forsyth Central Monday in boys tennis action.

In the doubles, Derek Weatherly and Ricky Vital held off Michael Nelson and Zach Gardner 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 at No. 1 while Jimmy Kincaid and Kyle Weatherly whipped Tyler O'Bryan and Marco Vanderwant 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.

In the singles, the Spartans' Chris Evans beat Matt Larson 6-3, 7-5 at No. 2 and Alan Clark beat Jamie McGarry 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 signles.

The Bulldogs' only win came at No. 1 singles with Cole Cribbs beating West Hall's Luis Flores 7-6, 6-4.

West Hall improved to 5-1 on the season with the win. The Spartans will play host to Johnson Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.
