Tech has rookie of the week

Maurice Miller won his first conference award after scoring a season-best 29 points in a 92-84 loss at Virginia Tech. Miller made 7-of-13 field goals and 13-of-14 free throws, with five assists, four rebounds, a blocked shot and a steal.

North Carolina's Tyler Hansbrough was named the ACC player of the week yesterday. It was his seventh time this season. Hansbrought averaged 30.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.5 steals in victories over North Carolina State and Wake Forest.
