Former Hall sheriff's deputy running for Barrow Co. sheriff

WINDER - A former Hall County deputy sheriff plans to run for sheriff of Barrow County this year.<br /> <br /> Murray J. Kogod has been with the Barrow County Sheriff's Office for seven years, and currently serves as chief deputy.<br /> <br /> Kogod, who plans to run in the Republican Primary in July, has a degree in government and politics and also has a law degree. <br /> <br /> In addition to working with the Hall County Sheriff's Office during his career, Kogod also served as a criminal investigator and an assistant district attorney for the Gainesville-based Northeastern Judicial Circuit.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
