DALLAS -- The on-again, off-again Jason Kidd trade to the Dallas Mavericks appears on again although in a slightly different swap than originally arranged.

The new deal is being reported by various media outlets. It has Kidd and forward Malik Allen going to Dallas for point guard Devin Harris, center DeSagana Diop and swingman Maurice Ager, plus a few new pieces: retired forward Keith Van Horn and Trenton Hassell.

New Jersey also will get two first-round draft picks and $3 million.

Van Horn and Hassell replace Jerry Stackhouse and Devean George in the original deal. George nixed the original trade.

The reconfigured proposal is expected to be offered for league approval Monday. If all goes as planned, Kidd could make his return to the team that drafted him when the Mavericks play in New Orleans on Wednesday night.
Jason Kidd is heading back to Dallas, according to reports from the Associated Press.
