Sanders leads Gardner-Webb in win over Kennesaw State

KENNESAW - Thomas Sanders scored 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Gardner-Webb to a 77-63 win over Kennesaw State on Saturday night.<br />

Both teams went into halftime tied at 42. The Bulldogs (12-13, 6-5 Atlantic Sun Conference) took a 58-50 lead with 11:51 left in the second half on a 3-pointer by Takayo Siddle.<br />

The Owls (6-19, 3-8) cut the lead down to four points about a minute later, but they wouldn't get any closer. Gardner-Webb went ahead later for its largest lead of the game at 74-59 with 2:38 left in the game.<br />

Nate Blank scored 16 points and had seven rebounds for the Bulldogs.<br />

Ronnell Wooten led Kennesaw State with 16 points, while Shaun Stegall added 15. Tanner Jacobs had 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
