ATLANTA - The Philadelphia Flyers continued their domination of the Thrashers with their ninth straight win over Atlanta.

Philadelphia's Antero Nittymaki stopped 23 shots to stay perfect in eight decisions against the Thrashers with the 3-2 victory Tuesday night.

Steve Downie scored with 4:29 left in the third period to break a 2-2 tie. It was the only Philadelphia goal that was not on a power play.

Michael Knuble and Mike Richards also scored for the Flyers, who are 13-2-1 all-time at Atlanta and overall have won 24 of 30 games in the series, including three games this season.

Ilya Kovalchuk scored early in the second period in his return after missing two games with a knee injury. Eric Boulton scored Atlanta's second goal.
