Gillsville home destroyed by fire

GILLSVILLE - A mobile home in Gillsville was destroyed by fire early Wednesday.

Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle said the cause of this fire is a familiar one.

"This fire, too, is another fire started by a fireplace," Cagle said. "This was a pre-fab fireplace."

The occupants of the home at 5098 Buffington Road escaped without injury. Cagle said they were alerted to the fire by smoke alarms.
