CLEVELAND - Two White County residents have been arrested in connection with the murder of a youth minister from Clermont.

Cleveland Police Chief John Foster identifies the pair as William Joseph Dyer and Jennifer Dawn Lineberger, both of Cleveland.

The body of Rev. Frank Edward Harris Jr., youth minister at Pendergrass Baptist Church, was found in front of a vacant house on Campbell Street in Cleveland early Monday, hours after he called his family from the church Sunday night to say he was giving a ride to "some stranded people."

Foster said Tuesday that during the investigation information was developed which led to the arrests of Dyer, 21, and Lineberger, 29.

Both have been charged with one count of felony murder. Dyer has also been charged with murder and armed robbery.

Authorities have not said what the probable cause of death was, but Harris' mother-in-law, Harriet Carnes, said the family was told that Harris was shot, and his car was found at a different location.

Carnes said Harris called about 7 p.m. Sunday upon leaving the church.

"He was helping some stranded people," Carnes said. "He was full of compassion."

She said Harris said he was going to give them a ride to Cleveland, about 30 miles from Pendergrass and 10 from Clermont. Carnes did not know their identity, or how many there were.

Harris and his wife, Tami, have three children, 17, 15 and 11.
