Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle said that firefighters were called to 2547 West Dennis Drive at 10:40 Tuesday morning. Firefighters entered the 1200 square foot home but quickly retreated as the roof began to collapse.
Cagle said the homeowner arrived shortly after firefighters did and told them there was no one in the house.
At noon, firefighters were still on the scene extinguishing hot spots. Once the fire is extinguished, investigators will work to determine the cause of the fire.
