CUMMING - Authorities have identified the man that was killed in a Tuesday morning traffic accident in Forsyth County.

Investigator Ron Tomblin with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said 27-year-old Brian Matthew Walker of Heatherwyn Way in Cumming died instantly when his car collided head on with a Forsyth County school bus.

According to Tomblin, Walker was headed east on Browns Bridge Road about 8:40 a.m. in his 1999 Toyota Camry when it crossed the road just east of Six Mile Bridge and was hit head on by the west-bound school bus.

Officials said no children were on the bus that was being operated by Michael Roth, 43, also of Cumming. They said Roth was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he was treated and released for minor injuries.

Authorities said an investigation is being conducted in an attempt to determine what caused Walker to lose control of his car. The wreck closed Browns Bridge Road until about 11 a.m.
