Ga. gas prices down 33 cents in one week

ATLANTA - Gasoline prices continue to plummet across Georgia and the nation.

According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of regular is $2.66 Monday.

AAA reports the statewide average for regular is $2.52 a gallon Monday. That's 4 cents less than Sunday and a decline of $1.42 since last month.

Midgrade averaged $2.64 and premium was $2.76 a gallon.

In the Gainesville area, the cheapest for regular was $2.29 a gallon Monday morning, according to gasbuddy.com. That was at two outlets, one each in Gainesville and Buford.
