ATLANTA -- Georgia Tech finally has captured the attention and the respect of the nation's voters.

One day after a 21-17 win at Clemson improved Georgia Tech to 6-1, the Yellow Jackets moved into The Associated Press Top 25 at No. 21 on Sunday. It is the first time Georgia Tech has been in the poll since they were 2-0 in the 2007 season.

Georgia Tech also is No. 21 in the USA Today coaches poll.

After being unranked all season, Georgia Tech now is the highest-ranked Atlantic Coast Conference team in the AP poll. Florida State, at No. 23, is the only other ACC team in the poll.
