AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn linebacker Tray Blackmon will miss the rest of the season with a cracked bone in his right wrist.

Blackmon will have a screw inserted in his wrist next week in Birmingham. He has played sparingly since sustaining the injury in the third game of the season.
Josh Bynes has been starting at middle linebacker in Blackmon's absence.

Blackmon has 21 tackles and has missed 12 of the Tigers' 33 games during his career because of either injury or suspension.

He is the eighth Auburn player to sustain a season-ending injury this season.

The others include defensive back Aairon Savage, receiver Phillip Pierre-Louis and offensive lineman Chaz Ramsey.
