Hall County Coroner Marion Merck said 23-year-old Terrance A. Putman of Gainesville died from a head injury he received during the crash.
Lt. Floyd Canup of the Gainesville Police Department said, "when police and fire arrived they found a single motorcycle crash where the motorcycle had left the roadway and struck a pole and ejected the rider."
Canup said Putman was found dead at the scene.
