KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee All-American offensive guard Anthony Parker will face disciplinary actions for his weekend arrest, coach Phillip Fulmer announced Wednesday.

Parker was charged with disorderly conduct Saturday morning after an off-duty Knoxville police officer responded to a crowd in an apartment parking lot.

Knoxville Police spokesman Darrell DeBusk said everyone at the scene was asked to leave and Parker was arrested after he did not comply. He was released on a $500 bond.

Fulmer said in a statement that Parker will be subjected to morning runs, curfew, community service, police ride-alongs and other punishments.

``I have watched Anthony Parker mature and grow as a young man, student and leader on our team over the years, and I am proud of his growth,'' Fulmer said. ``However in this incident, I do not believe he respected the officer as he should have and unintentionally created a situation that could have been avoided.''

The Knoxville Police Department investigated the arrest after complaints were made to the department, but the investigation found Officer Sam Henard acted appropriately.

The junior started at left guard for the Vols in all 13 games of the 2007 season.

Parker is one of four Tennessee players involved in incidents with police so far this offseason.

Between January and July of 2005, eight Tennessee players were arrested or cited for crimes ranging from assault to underage drinking. Fulmer said players' problems with the law were an embarrasment to the program.
