All but 3 big water users meet state-mandated cuts in usage

ATLANTA - Gainesville had a lot of company in meeting the state mandate for water use reduction last month.

The state Environmental Protection Division says all but three big water users in Georgia met or exceeded the ten percent reduction.

Gainesville had failed to meet the requirements in November... but just barely.

EPD says only Carroll County, Chickamauga, and the Walton County Water and Sewer Authority fell short in December.
