OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Jason Garrett continues to be the favorite to fill the NFL coaching vacancy in Baltimore, despite being contacted by a number of teams, including the Atlanta Falcons. The Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator arrived at the Ravens' training complex this morning and is the first candidate to receive a second interview with the team's search committee. They are looking for a successor to Brian Billick, who was fired two weeks ago.
Garrett, who directed the high-scoring offense that skidded to a halt in the Cowboys' 21-17 NFC divisional playoff loss Sunday to the New York Giants, met with the team's hierarchy last Saturday for several hours.
He's also reportedly being sought for a second interview with the Falcons.
Garrett was a quarterbacks coach for two seasons with the Miami Dolphins before spending last season with the Cowboys.
