HINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) Divers searched coastal waters off Mobile Bay Wednesday for the bodies of four preschool children believed to have been tossed off the bridge by their father after a fight with his wife.

Authorities said 37-year-old Lam Luong confessed to throwing the children from the Dauphin Island bridge.

Luong was arrested October 19th in Hinesville on a charge of possessing crack cocaine. According to a police report, Luong called police and ``requested an officer at his residence because he had used narcotics and wanted to turn himself in.''

Upon arriving, the officer said Luong's wife informed him that Luong was giving their children a bath. When Luong emerged, he eventually produced from a shirt pocket a pipe and ``a whitish yellow rock that appeared to be crack cocaine.''

Luong was arrested, but the case has not been acted on by a grand jury. The police report notes that Luong advised authorities on November 1st that he had moved to Alabama.
