In Cumming, at 11:15, Keep Forsyth County Beautiful will host its 2007 Liberty Garden Ceremony at the Central Park Recreation Center on Keith Bridge Road. It will be held to honor law enforcement officers, firefighters and public safety personnel, and to remember those whose lives were lost on September 11, 2001.
In Oakwood, Gainesville State College will hold a 9/11 Reflections Program at noon Tuesday.
Students, faculty, staff and members of the public are invited to attend the program which will include a presentation by guest speaker Joe Carter. Carter serves as First Lieutenant Assistant Commander of Patrol Division & Commander of the SWAT Team of Hall County.
The Hall County Sheriff's Department Honor Guard Flag Detail will also do a special presentation.
The program will be held at the Gainesville State College Quad Stage Area.
