TV mistake leaves North Georgia rock group in peril

UNDATED - A TV snafu leaves a North Georgia band at a disadvantage... but still kicking in a national contest.

Turns out CBS's Early Show ran the wrong clip Monday morning, and attributed it to the group Midnight Clear.

It wasn't Midnight Clear, but drummer Rory Knapton says fans can still vote for the band online.

He likens it to a real David-and-Goliath situation. "But just like last time, with the help of Gainesville and this area... people voting, we can win it again," he says.

Knapton says you can vote as often as you can between now and Wednesday.

CBS says they'll try to run the correct clip of Midnight Clear Tuesday morning.
