Pot plants found in E. Hall

GAINESVILLE - The search for a missing kayaker in East Hall Thursday afternoon led to the discovery of some marijuana plants.

The kayaker was quickly found - and as it was returning to base - a state patrol helicopter used in the search, spotted the marijuana. Officers went into woods off Cagle Road and found six plants, according to Maj. Jeff Strickland of the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
