List takes 1-shot lead over Odom in second round

<p>Former Vanderbilt star Luke List of Ringgold shot a 3-under-par 69 to take a one-stroke lead over Bryant Odom of Sea Island in the second round of the Your Community PhoneBook Georgia Open on Friday.</p><p>List had a 36-hole score of 7-under 137 for two trips around the Champions Retreat Golf Club just outside of Augusta in Evans.</p><p>Odom, a former Georgia star who had shared the first-round with List, posted a 70-138.</p><p>Mini-tour professional Greg Whatley of Roswell was alone in third place at 5-under par 139.</p><p>Current Georgia PGA Player of the Year points leader, Jeff Hull of Athens, shot another two-under par 70, and has moved into a tie for fourth place along with Steve Gilley of Newnan, amateur Parker Beck of Duluth and Jay McLuen of Colbert.</p><p>Defending champion Jared Garrity of Hamilton shot a six-over-par 78 for a two-day total of 157 and failed to make the cut, which came at 6-over-par 150 with 60 players making it to the weekend.</p>
