``I thought that D.J. struggled and he wasn't as accurate throwing the ball as he needs to be,'' Petrino said. "He didn't make some passes that we would expect him to make."
Against the Jets, Shockley completed 5-of-12 pasees for 77 yards with an interception while Redman was 8-of-13 for 61 yards. Harrington was 6-of-9 for 88 yards.
Petrino still isn't ready to say who his number two will be when the Falcons take on the Bills Friday in the second game of the pre-season.
"At this point, I haven't sat down and thought about how we would do it this week," Petrino said this week. "We will have to wait and see how practice goes. Chris did a really nice job of executing and he was accurate, however, he made a couple decisions that we would like to see made a little differently."
Earlier this week, the Falcons also waived fourth string quarterback Lang Campbell and signed former Cincinnati Bengal quarterback Casey Bramlet.
