Another suit filed over Oakwood annexations

GAINESVILLE - There's been another suit filed by Hall County against the City of Oakwood over Oakwood's Winder Highway annexations.

The 14-page suit also names Martin Road Investments as a defendant. It alleges that the annexation of four parcels of land was illegal because it left an "island" of land in unincorporated Hall County in violation of the county's zoning regulations. The suit was filed in Hall County Superior Court.

The county earlier sued Oakwood over the annexations in March. (See links below for earlier stories).
