<p>Here is a glance at Michael Vick's career as quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons:</p><p>April 21, 2001 _ Falcons draft Vick, a 20-year-old sophomore quarterback from Virginia Tech, No. 1 overall in the NFL.</p><p>Nov. 11, 2001 _ Vick wins his first start, 20-13 over Dallas.</p><p>Dec. 1, 2002 _ In an overtime win at Minnesota, Vick ends the game on a broken pass play with a 46-yard run.</p><p>Jan. 4, 2003 _ Vick leads Atlanta to wild-card win at Green Bay, helping Falcons become first opponent to win playoff game at Lambeau Field.</p><p>Aug. 16, 2003 _ In a preseason game, Vick breaks his fibula and will miss the first 12 games of the regular season.</p><p>Oct. 29, 2003 _ Vick and coach Dan Reeves disagree over when the QB can return to practice.</p><p>Nov. 30, 2003 _ Vick plays the second half of a loss at Houston. Atlanta falls to 2-10.</p><p>Dec. 7, 2003 _ Passing for 179 yards and rushing for 141, Vick leads Falcons to an overtime win over Carolina in first start following injury.</p><p>March 22, 2004 _ Two men driving a truck co-registered to Vick are pulled by police in Newport News, Va., and arrested for conspiracy to commit a felony and possession of marijuana.</p><p>Dec. 12, 2004 _ Vick dives to convert a fourth-and-goal from the 12, forcing overtime. Atlanta beats Carolina to secure a home playoff game in NFC divisional round.</p><p>Dec. 23, 2004 _ Owner Arthur Blank makes Vick the NFL's richest player with a 10-year, $130 million contract.</p><p>Jan. 23, 2005 _ Falcons lose NFC championship at Philadelphia.</p><p>March 14, 2005 _ A woman in Gwinnett County, Ga., names Vick in a civil suit, claiming that he knowingly gave her herpes and used a fake name, "Ron Mexico," when getting tested for the disease. The case is never tried and is settled for an undisclosed amount.</p><p>Nov. 6, 2005 _ Atlanta improves to 6-2 after Vick passes for 228 yards in a win at Miami.</p><p>Jan. 1, 2006 _ Vick rushes one time for no yards in a season-ending loss to Carolina as Falcons finish 8-8. In training camp a few months later, Vick says it was the first game in which he failed to give 100 percent.</p><p>July 26, 2006 _ The Atlanta Journal-Constitution publishes an Internet picture allegedly showing Vick holding a marijuana cigarette.</p><p>Oct. 22, 2006 _ Falcons improve to 5-2 after Vick combines for 272 yards and three TDs in a win over Pittsburgh.</p><p>Nov. 12, 2006 _ Vick has a non-contact fumble in the fourth quarter for the second straight week as Atlanta falls to 5-5.</p><p>Nov. 26, 2006 _ After Falcons lose 31-13 to New Orleans, Vick makes an obscene gesture to heckling fans at the Georgia Dome. The next day, he promises never to embarrass his team again.</p><p>Dec. 24, 2006 _ Vick becomes the first NFL quarterback to rush for 1,000 yards in a single season, but in a postgame news conference, he criticizes coach Jim Mora and offensive coordinator Greg Knapp for poor play-calling after a 10-3 loss to Carolina.</p><p>Jan. 1, 2007 _ Falcons finish 7-9 after dropping their third straight in a season-ending loss at Philadelphia.</p><p>Jan. 17, 2007 _ Vick allegedly is reluctant to give Miami airport security a water bottle that police later say smelled like marijuana. As part of their investigation, police raid Vick's property in Smithfield, Va., and find several neglected pit bulls and evidence of dog fighting.</p><p>April 24, 2007 _ Vick is a no-show for a congressional breakfast to request more money for after-school football programs.</p><p>April 28, 2007 _ Attending the NFL draft in New York, Vick allegedly tells commissioner Roger Goodell that his friends and family members are responsible for the dog fighting.</p><p>May 11, 2007 _ Vick tells reporters that lawyers advised him not to make public comments about possible dog fighting on his property.</p><p>June 7, 2007 _ Federal investigators raid Vick's property.</p><p>July 6, 2007 _ Federal prosecutors indicate they have a strong case against Vick.</p><p>July 17, 2007 _ An 18-page indictment names Vick and three others in the operation of a gruesome dog-fighting ring.</p><p>July 20, 2007 _ Animal rights activists protest in New York outside NFL offices. Upstairs, Goodell is meeting with another group of concerned activists.</p><p>July 23, 2007 _ Goodell orders Vick to stay away from Falcons training camp.</p><p>July 24, 2007 _ Falcons owner Arthur Blank confirms that the team wanted to suspend Vick for four games, the maximum allowed under the league's collective bargaining agreement with the players union, but he adds that he will wait on the NFL to conduct its own investigation.</p>
