UNDATED - Just like the rest of the country, gasoline prices in Gainesville and the rest of northeast Georgia are on the rise again.

A national survey shows that on average they rose about six cents across the country in the last three weeks.

That's according to a survey of 7,000 outlets nationwide.

The Lundberg Survey found regular averaged $3.06 a gallon. Mid-grade was $3.17 a gallon and premium was $3.29.

The lowest price was in Tucson, Az., where a gallon of regular cost $2.80. The highest was in Chicago at $3.46.

In northeast Georgia, the price of regular has climbed to or is approaching $3 a gallon.
