Driver killed, suspect injured in high-speed police chase

<p>A driver is dead and a drug suspect injured after a high-speed police chase in southwest Georgia.</p><p>The chase started last night in Albany and ended a couple of miles away in neighboring Lee County.</p><p>Agents with the Albany-Dougherty County Drug Unit in a marked car began chasing a suspected drug dealer just before 9 p.m.. Lee County Sheriff Harold Breeden says the chase reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.</p><p>Authorities say when the suspect tried to pass a car, his Cadillac Deville crashed head-on into a Ford Taurus, killing the driver.</p><p>The suspect was injured and taken to Phoebe Putney Hospital.</p><p>The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.</p><p>Authorities have NOT released the name of the victim or the suspect.
