Motes had taken the leaf on Lap 60 after Andy Gaddis had gotten loose in Turn 2 then held off numerous challenges by Adkins.The drama was enhanced as four cautions in the final 15 laps helped keep the field bunched.
It was wild affair the entire way as four carswere black-flagged for rough racing and then Gaddis saw his night end when he lost a wheel late after being forced into the backstretch wall. Gaddis led early after getting the jump at the start. Pole-sitter Tom Schuette retook the lead on Lap 7 but ran into trouble after a Lap 16 restart that saw him drop 10 spots in two laps.
Cecil Peels survived the melee to finish third. D.J. Vanderlay was fourth and Schuette rallied to take fifth.
In the 60-lap Pro Late Model event, Greg Simpson got his first win of the year getting around pole-sitter Chris Wharton on Lap 35 and then running away from the field. Wharton had led the first 35 laps but Simpson reeled him in and was able to slip underneath to grab the lead for good.
David Watters had his best run of the season taking third, Jamie Stephens was fourth, and Shawn Simpson was fifth.
In the 30-lap Sportsman race, Dustin Bryson looked to have the race in the bag running to a nearly quarter-lap lead by Lap 21. But a three-car pileup brought the field back together and the Brian Jones went to work.
Jones was able to sneak under Bryson with three laps left and then take the checkered flag by a foot in dash to the finish line. Bryson took second, Darin Cronan third, Dave Sherman fourth, and Jimmy Motes, who got caught up in the Lap 21 wreck, came from last place to finish fifth.
In the first of two 20-lap open-wheeled modified races, Kevin Barrett, Jr., took the lead on Lap 2 witha nifty pass of Marlin Gunter and then cruised to the victory. Only a caution on Lap 12 slowed down Barrett, who pulled away from the field over the final eight laps after the restart. Gunter finished second, Randy Haney was third, Scott Armstrong fourth, and David Poole was fifth.
In the second open-wheeled race, Charlie Barrett borrowed the 09 of brother Kevin and survived a wild final eight laps to get the win. Jason bates led the first 12 laps but a caution bunched the pack and one lap after the restart bates got loose opening the door to allow Barrett and Gunter to slide underneath. Barrett then held off Gunter over the final seven laps. Poole took third, Bryce Stephan was fourth, and Jim Golinski was fifth.
In the Legends semi-pro race, Jeremy Mullinax grabbed the lead on the start and held off several challenges from Matt Norton to take the win. Eric Cushman was third, Cory Parham fourth, and Trey Ridley fifth.
