GAINESVILLE - A Gainesville feed mill has settled with state environmental officials over allegations of violations of air quality standards.

The Purina feed mill has signed an $11,000 consent order with the state Environmental Protection Division (EPD), according to a posting on EPD's Web site.

As part of the agreement, Purina has "initiated projects to upgrade environmental activities at plant; submit appropriate recordkeeping forms to EPD; (and) complete replacement of Pellet Mill #1 cyclone collection system," according to the posting.

The plant is located in the Newtown section of Gainesville.
