Woman killed in vehicle crash during police chase

<p>A station wagon being chased by Cobb County police ran into a car on Interstate 575 Thursday, killing the woman driving the car, police said.</p><p>After hitting the Buick, the two suspects jumped out of the station wagon and ran, but were taken into custody.</p><p>Southbound lanes of I-575 near Bells Ferry Road were closed and backed up for miles because of the accident.</p><p>Cobb police spokeswoman Cassie Reece said a resident called to report a suspicious vehicle at a neighbor's home, and when police spotted the vehicle it sped up I-575 northbound.</p><p>Reece said a big-screen TV came out of the back of the station wagon before it crossed over the median and struck the southbound car.</p><p>In addition to the woman killed, several passengers were injured.</p>
