Tuggle played linebacker for Valdosta State from 1983-through-86, setting a school career record for tackles with 340 and being picked all-Gulf South Conference three times. He went on to play 14 seasons in the N-F-L for the Atlanta Falcons.
Ham played at Georgia Southern from 1983-86, where he led the Eagles to two Division One-Double-A championships. He is known as the only player in college football history to rush for more than three-thousand yards and pass for over five-thousand yards and went on to a successful career in the Canadian Football League.
Also elected yesterday to the Hall of Fame Divisional Class were former Florida A-and-M coach Billy Joe, Kentucky State quarterback Joe Kendall (1934-36)and Bloomsburg linebacker Frank Sheptock (1982-95). Jim Christopherson, who won 218 games as coach of Concordia College in Minnesota from 1969-2000 was also elected.
