New chairman for Ga. Poultry Federation

GAINESVILLE - Tommy Myers was elected as the 2007-08 Chairman of the Gainesville-based Georgia Poultry Federation during the group&#39;s annual meeting at Callaway Gardens.<br> <br> Myers is Vice President of Wayne Farms, Oakwood. He succeeds Richard Curvin, Division Manager, Pilgrim&#39;s Pride, Carrollton.<br> <br> Other officers who were elected are Charlie Westbrook, Cobb-Vantress, Gainesville, Senior Vice Chairman and Barry Cronic, Columbia Farms, Lavonia and Greg Tench, Mar-Jac Poultry, Gainesville as Vice Chairmen.<br> <br> New directors elected are Clay Banks, Equity Group, Camilla; Bill Crider, Crider&#39;s Inc., Stillmore; Mack Guest, LAD Truck Lines, Watkinsville; Mark Ham, Cagle&#39;s, Atlanta; Jerry Lane, Claxton Poultry Farms, Claxton; and Doug Lee, Sanderson Farms, Laurel, Miss.<br> <br> The Georgia Poultry Federation represents all segments of Georgia&#39;s gigantic poultry industry. Poultry is the largest segment of agriculture and agribusiness in Georgia and Georgia.
