Deal poised to assume GHCC chair

GAINESVILLE - Denise Deal is poised to assume the chairmanship of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce.

The current chairman, Jimmy Adams, says Deal has agreed to succeed him while retaining her position as Executive Director of the chamber's Vision 2030 initiative.

In addition to Deal, the proposed 2007-2008 Executive Committee, which would take office this summer, includes:

*Benny Bagwell, Vice Chair, Economic Development
*Darrell Snyder, Vice Chair, Education/Community Development
*Dixie Truelove, Vice Chair, Government Affairs
*Dennis Stockton, Vice Chair, Marketing Communications
*Cindy Wilson, Vice Chair, Membership Development
*David Lee, Vice Chair, South Hall Council
*Paul Chambers and Dan Carey, Co-Chairs, Hallmark Vision
*Rob Fowler, Chair, Vision 2030
*Brent Hoffman, Senior Advisor
*Jimmy Adams, Immediate Past Chair
*Letrell Simpson and Frank Norton, Jr., Co-Chairs, Centennial Celebration
*Kit Dunlap, President/CEO

Anderson says Simpson and Norton will be in charge of planning the 100th anniversary of the chamber of commerce which will be observed during the coming fiscal year.
