GAINESVILLE - The executive director of the Northeast Georgia History Center the past seven months is resigning.

Stuart Miller is leaving, effective April 30," as he moves his career in another direction," according to History Center President Martha Nesbitt.

Nesbitt also says Lauri Quick, office coordinator, whose husband is expected back from Iraq this summer, will be leaving "for family reasons" in early June.

"The History Center Executive committee has accepted both resignations with regret, and with appreciation for each one`s individual contributions to the progress of our organization," Dr. Nesbitt said.

Miller began work at the History Center last September following a five-year tenure at the Sautee Nacoochee Center near Helen.

Dr. Nesbitt said the Executive Committee is in the process of organizing its plans for the staff changes and has begun seeking applications for both positions, which should be addressed to: History Center President, Dr. Martha Nesbitt, P. O. Box 1451, Gainesville, Ga 30503.
