Virginia Tech duo makes ACC all-defensive team again

RALEIGH, N.C. - Virginia Tech teammates Jamon Gordon and Zabian Dowdell were named to the Atlantic Coast Conference's all-defensive team for the second straight year on Monday.<br>

The Hokies' duo, who ranked 1-2 in the league in steals, were joined on the defensive team by a pair of Maryland teammates, Ekene Ibekwe and D.J. Strawberry, and Duke's Josh McRoberts.<br>
<br>
The team was selected by a vote of 106 members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.<br>
<br>
Gordon led the league with 76 steals, Dowdell had 64 and Strawberry had 63.<br>
<br>
Ibekwe and McRoberts were the ACC's top two shot-blockers, with Ibekwe leading the league with 81 blocks and McRoberts second with 77. McRoberts also had an ACC-best 180 defensive rebounds.
