Barrow Co. sues Auburn

WINDER - Barrow County has gone to court over the annexation of about 100 acres by the city of Auburn.

According to Norton Native Intelligence Marketwatch, the county wants to halt future annexations by Auburn until a suit it filed in December over the action is settled.

In November, Auburn annexed several "islands," totaling about 100 acres. These were pieces of land surrounded by city property.
