Feb. construction numbers up

GAINESVILLE - The number of permits for new, single-family homes in Hall County increase in February by 24 over the month before.

Hall County Building Inspection Services reports that 126 such permits were approved for new construction expected to cost more than $22 million.

Commercial/industrial activity was brisk, as well, led by six addition/renovation permits for work with a projected cost of $3.1 million.
