``We recovered his body in a lagoon about 3:46 this afternoon, not far from his house,'' police Sgt. Mike Wilson said. ``Our dive and rescue team searched the waters in that lagoon where we had had two sightings by neighbors in the community who saw him there yesterday.''
Authorities described the boy, Thy Nyugen, as autistic and unable to speak. His parents called police about 6 p.m. Saturday to say their son had strayed from their Whitemarsh Island home.
``There is nothing to indicate foul play but we'll be sending the body to the crime lab for an official cause of death,'' Wilson said. ``It appears to be a drowning at this point.''
