Agents with the Hall County Multi Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS) assisted by the Gainesville-Hall County Gang Task Force and Hall County Sheriff's Office Investigative Division uncovered the operation.
This was the third such operation found in Hall County in about a month - and one of dozens located this year in north Georgia. It was in the 550 block of Preserve Point.
MANS agent Scott Ware says "this operation was almost identical to the other two in that the roof and walls of the basement had been lined with reflective insulation. It had its own ventilation system, an irrigation system and lighting which operated off of electronic timers. Additionally, The power supply had been tapped into from the outside of the home."
Lt. Ware said the search yielded 85 plants which held an estimated value of $170,000. "The plants were covered in mold and the operation appeared to have been "abandoned.
Agents do have one potential suspect in this case but no arrests have been made.
