Gainesville, Cumming junior golfers excel

UNDATED - Two junior golfers from Gainesville and Cumming have advanced to the Mutual of Omaha Drive, Chip & Putt Regional Championships.<br> <br> Colin Herbert, 10, of Gainesville placed first in the 9-10 year old category at the local competition in Fairburn at the Durham Lakes Golf and Country Club.<br> <br> Meanwhile, in Alpharetta, at the Crooked Creek Golf Course, Christopher Guglielmo, 12, of Cumming placed second in the 11-12 year old category.<br> <br> They and 168 other young golfers, ages 7-14, from in and around Atlanta will now compete in the Southeast Regional Championship in Birmingham, Ala., April 1.<br> <br> Regional winners will advance to the National Championships in Orlando, Fla., in October.<br> <br> The Mutual of Omaha Drive, Chip & Putt junior golf program, owned and operated by The Golf Channel, is now in its ninth year.
