Manchester 77, Randolph-Clay 74; Dodge County 54, Lovett 49

<p>Garland McArthur scored 19 points, and David Scott's clutch free throws down the stretch helped Dodge County beat Lovett 54-49 in a Class AA boys semifinal game on Thursday, setting up a matchup on Saturday with Manchester.</p><p>Manchester beat Randolph-Clay 77-74 in the earlier game.</p><p>The Indians (27-3) never trailed in the contest. Dodge County took a 40-28 lead in the third quarter on a break-away lay up by Scott, who finished with 15 points. In the fourth, Scott connected on a 3-pointer to give Manchester a 47-31 lead.</p><p>The Lions (23-9) trimmed Dodge County's lead to 50-49 with :25 left in the fourth on a 3-pointer by Andre Hicks. But Scott made his next four throws.</p><p>In the losing effort, Hicks led the Lions with 22 points and Alex Elam added 14.</p><p>Earlier, Trevor Jones scored 23 points and Tabias Jackson added 20 to lead Manchester to a win.</p><p>In the third quarter, Quintavious Johnson scored 10 straight points to give Randolph-Clay a 55-47 lead. But the Blue Devils came on strong in the fourth and took a 70-66 advantage on a jumper by Jamarquis Steverson, who finished with 13 points.</p><p>Manchester pulled away off Willie Wortham's back-to-back layups to give them an eight-point lead with 1:11 remaining in the final quarter.</p><p>Johnson led the Red Devils (24-6) with 20 points, while Brian Thornton added 13 in the loss.</p>
