UNDATED - Nearly a million dollars in state money is headed to Habersham County to help with sewer system improvements in Cornelia and Baldwin.

The City of Baldwin is getting $200,000 to help lay the groundwork for an "upscale" restaurant along Georgia 365 and, city officials hope, future development along the heavily-traveled corridor.

The other OneGeorgia grant totals $500,000 and goes to the Banks-Habersham Join Development Authority. It will be used for improvements to the wastewater treatment plant in Cornelia, which, officials say, are needed to meet the needs of an expanding Fieldale Poultry processing plant.
