Sawnee Mtn. Preserve groundbreaking

CUMMING - Ground has been broken on Phase II of the Sawnee Mountain Preserve in Forsyth County.

County spokeswoman Jodi Gardner says it will include an Environmental Learning Center that will serve as headquarters for the Outdoor Program section of the county parks and recreation department.

Also included: nature trails and a universally accessible tree house, a first-of-its-kind in the southeast.
