Suwanee OKs mega-project

SUWANEE - A one million square foot multi-use development to be created over the next several years in Suwanee has been approved by the City Council.

Plans call for a five-story hotel, as well as office and commercial space and 480 housing units on 145 acres. The site is on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road near Satellite Boulevard.

The director planning and community development for Suwanee, Marty Allen, expects work to begin this summer at the earliest.
