Arbor Day Art and Essay Contest winners

GAINESVILLE - The U.S. Forest Service, Keep Hall Beautiful and the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Beautification and Tree Committee have announced the winners of the this year&#39;s Arbor Day Essay and Art Contest winners.<br> <br> This year&#39;s theme is &#34;What Trees Mean to America.&#34; <br> <br> The winners are: <br> Essay Category<br> <br> 1st Place Rachel Glazer North Hall Middle School<br> 2nd Place Erron Smith North Hall Middle School<br> 3rd Pace Katie Beavers Heritage Academy<br> <br> Art Category<br> <br> 1st Place Cody Pfister North Hall Middle School<br> 2nd Place Victoria Armour North Hall Middle School<br> 3rd Place Chloe Beacham North Hall Middle School<br> <br> They will be recognized at the Gainesville-Hall County Arbor Day celebration Friday at 10:00 at the Northeast Georgia History Center.<br> <br> The 11th annual contest was open to all 7th graders in public, private and home schools in Gainesville and Hall County.
