Lakeview Academy falls to SACA

ATLANTA - Jahaziel Howard and Joel Lamb combined for nearly as many points as Lakeview Academy to lead Southwest Atlanta Christian to a 62-46 win Saturday in the first round of the Class A boys basketball playoffs.

Howard poured in 28 and Lamb had 10 as the Warriors (20-8) took control of the game early and answered every Lakeview (17-12) threat.

SACA led 22-14 after the first quarter and held Lakeview to just four points in the second quarter to run out to a 31-18 halftime lead.

But the Lions trimmed the lead to 45-35 heading into the fourth quarter but could get any closer.

Zach Buckner led Lakeview with 13 points.
