Ag forecast meeting set

ATLANTA - Gainesille will host one of several statewide meetings dealing with the future of agriculture in Georgia.

The Ag 2007 Forecast Breakfast Meeting will be held February 28 at the Georgia Mountains Center at 8:00. It's expected to conclude around 11:00

Among those scheduled to attend is state Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin.

Organizers says farmers, agribusiness workers and others can expect to receive a detailed forecast for Georgia agriculture in the coming months. There will also be discussions on various proposals of the new farm bill.

Meetings have already been held in Macon, Statesboro, and Albany. The Gainesville meeting will be the final in the series.
